HISTORY:
The Youngstown Central Area Community Improvement Corporation (YCACIC) was created on April 25, 1988 under the provisions of Title XVII, Chapter 1702 of the Ohio Revised Code. The YCACIC is a private, non-profit economic development organization operated exclusively for charitable purposes under Section 501 c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
Over the years, the YCACIC has acted as owner/developer for the renovation of the Morley Center for the Arts, the construction of the George V. Voinovich Government Center, the Mahoning County Children Services Board building and the Seventh District Court of Appeals. The YCACIC also acted as owner/developer of the Taft Technology Center and the renovated Semple building, both extensions of the Youngstown Business Incubator.
The YCACIC continues working towards more renovations of existing structures to accommodate technology and other business groups.

To revitalize the Central Business District through the zealous pursuit and promotion of the downtown development activities.
